Appearing on the cover with Sylvester of OZ23 magazine - edited by Jim Anderson. Martin’s “Sunlight is coming across to the party” is a selection of works from his personal archive along with an exciting array of new collage.
Jim Anderson - (Collage Artist) - Artist & former editor Oz Magazine fame
When I returned to Australia in 1993, I discovered that Martin had become a traditional collage artist “scissors and glue” (as I was back then) and the living room floor of his little house in Wooloomooloo was almost knee deep in old newspapers, magazines, cards and whatever chaos he needed to inspire art creation. Some additional painting also made an appearance as did assemblage in his work . Over the years he self-published several small books of his work which indicated the differing phases he went through. Martin has produced really great work over the years.
Lesley Dimmick - Tap Gallery owner:
“Martin is true artist and a historical character, a traditional collage artist, he had his first exhibition with Tap gallery in 1999 with successive exhibitions and book launches over the past 20 years.

The world's his canvas. Questing on the hippy trail, he's lived life as a tall tale. Creating and collecting art to assemble as collages, patterns, stories starring cartoon characters and superheroes like Elvis then printed, cut up and reassembled
